Applications are invited from Indian citizens 01(One) position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under sponsored project entitled "Experimental and Numerical Study on a Battery Thermal Management System by Mist Jet Impingement Integrated Forced-Air Convection" funded by SERB in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Hamirpur (HP) as per details below :

Qualification:-The applicant must have passed B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and M.E./M.Tech in Thermal Engineering/Energy. Open/EWS/OBC/NCL candidates must have secured minimum CGPA/CGPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 60% marks in both Bachelor and Master degrees. Whereas, in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates a minimum CGPA/CGPI of 6.0 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 55% marks in both Bachelor and Master degrees shall be applicable. The candidate having expertise in Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer and good working knowledge of ANSYS/Numerical techniques will be preferred. The candidate must have qualified GATE Exam at least once; thus, the valid GATE score is not compulsory.

Emoluments:- Rs.31,000/-pm for the first two years and 35,000/-pm for the third year plus HRA as per institute norms

Nature of Appointments:- The position is purely on contract basis with the initial appointment for a period of one year from the date of joining, extendable up to the project duration subject to the satisfactory performance of the individual and provisions under the project.

Project Duration:- 03 Years

Age limit:-Max. age limit for JRF is 35 years as on last date of receipt of applications. Upper age limit will be relaxed up to 5 years for reserved category candidates (SC/ST/PwD) and 3 years for OBC-Non creamy layer candidates.

No separate letter will be issued to the shortlisted candidates for appearing in further screening and selection process. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The last date for receiving applications is 13/07/2023. the date of interview along with the shortlisted candidates called for interview will be displayed on the institute's website or informed through email.

Note : Only candidates with an M.E./M. Tech degree in the relevant field as stated above are eligible for the position of JRE, and selected candidates will be encouraged to apply for Ph.D. Programme of the Institute as per the prevailing norms.
