There will be an objective type screening test (Offline/online) of one paper consisting of 100 questions for two hours duration:- "70 questions to cover the essential qualification(s) for the concerned post(s) i.e. BE/B Tech (Civil Engineering) degree level, 20 Questions consisting of General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh and 10 Questions consisting of General Knowledge of National/International affairs.

Essential Qualification(s) Must possess regular full time degree in Civil Engineering from an Institute/University duly approved/recognized by thCalcutta and Institute of Civil Engineers (India), Ludhiana Punjab.

Desirable Qualification Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh
