The Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union, offers a challenging career to young and dynamic Indian male/female candidates for various branches as an Assistant Commandant (Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer). Registration of ‘online’ application will be through Coast Guard recruitment website https://joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in
Eligibility Criteria. Indian citizens having following minimum qualifications are eligible to apply:
(a) Branch:-General Duty (GD)
Age Limit:-Born between 01 Jul 1998 to 30 Jun 2002 (Both dates inclusive). (05 Years relaxation for personnel serving in Coast Guard or equivalent personnel in Army/Navy/Air Force)
Education Qualification:-(i) Should hold a degree of recognised university with minimum 60% aggregate marks.
(ii) Mathematics and Physics as subject upto Intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics.The candidates who have completed graduation after diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.
(B) Branch:-Commercial Pilot Licence (SSA)
Age Limit:-Born between 01 Jul 1998 to 30 Jun 2004 (Both dates inclusive).
Education Qualification:-(i) Should have passed 12th class or equivalent with physics and mathematics as subjects with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics.The candidates who have completed diploma are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.
(ii) Should possess current Commercial Pilot Licence issued/ validated by Director General civil Aviation on the date of submission of application
(C) Branch:-Technical (Mechanical)
Age Limit:- Born between 01 Jul 1998 to 30 Jun 2002 (Both dates inclusive). (05 Years relaxation for personnel serving in Coast Guard)
Education Qualification:-) (i) Should hold an Engineering degree of recognised university in Naval Architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or Industrial and Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace with minimum 60% aggregate marks. OR Equivalent qualification in any of the above disciplines recognised by the Institutes of the Engineers (India) as exempted from section ‘A’ and ‘B’ and their associate membership examination (AMIE).
(ii) Mathematics and Physics as subject upto intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics.The candidates who have completed graduation after diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.
(D)Branch:-Technical (Electrical/ Electronics)
Age Limit:-Born between 01 Jul 1998 to 30 Jun 2002 (Both dates inclusive). (05 Years relaxation for personnel serving in Coast Guard)
Education Qualification:-
(i) Should hold an Engineering degree of recognised university in Electrical or Electronics or Telecommunication or Instrumentation or Instrumentation and Control or Electronics and Communication or Power Engineering or Power Electronics with minimum 60% aggregate marks. (h) OR Equivalent qualification in any of the above disciplines recognised by the Institutes of the Engineers (India) as exempted from section ‘A’ and ‘B’ and their associate membership examination (AMIE). (ii) Mathematics and Physics as subject upto intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics.The candidates who have completed graduation after diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.
How to Apply.
(a) Applications will be accepted only ‘ONLINE’ from 18 Feb 2022 (1100 hrs) to 28 Feb 2022 (1700 hrs).The candidates are to logon to https://joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in and follow the instructions for registering yourself with e-mail ID/mobile number. The candidates are to ensure validity of e-mail and mobile number at least up to 31 Jan 2023.
(b) The candidate may apply for only one post viz. either Assistant Commandant (GD) or Assistant Commandant (CPL-SSA) or Assistant Commandant {Tech(Engg)} or Assistant Commandant {Tech(Elec)} in reference to advertisement of one cycle of recruitment. If a candidate fills multiple applications in one particular recruitment cycle, then his latest application will be accepted and all previously filled applications will be rejected. Online application will be further scrutinised for eligibility and may be rejected at any stage if found ineligible in any respect.
(c) Documents to be uploaded in the application. The candidates will be required to upload documents in two phases. Few documents are required at the online application stage and few are required to be uploaded if shortlisted for Stage-II. The candidates are to scan the original documents (neither photocopy nor self-attested photocopy is to be scanned) as applicable for the post applied and upload in the online application.
(i) Compulsory documents to be uploaded by all candidates during online application for
Stage-I. (aa) Passport size recent colour photograph (taken not before December 2021) (front portrait in light background without head gear except for Sikhs). The photographs is to be taken without spectacles with candidate holding a black slate in front of his chest with his name and date of photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters.
(ab) Candidate’s scanned signature image.
(ac) Scanned Clear Left and Right-Hand Thumb Impression Image
. (ad) Date of Birth Certificate (10th class mark sheet or Birth Certificate in English or Hindi).
(ae) Photo Identity proof (Adhaar Card or Voter ID or Passport or PAN Card or Driving License).
(af) Candidates handwritten declaration (format available on website). (ag) Service Certificate/NOC, if candidate is serving ICG Personnel including civilian or serving in other organisation.
(ii) List of documents to be uploaded by candidates,if shortlisted for Stage-II (PSB). (aa) 10th / Matriculation Marksheet Certificate(carrying Date of Birth).
(ab) 12thMarksheet& Certificate
(ac) Graduation Year wise/Semester wise Marksheets - 7 -
(ad) Degree Passing Certificate
(ae) Commercial Pilot License (if applicable) (af) Category Certificate (if applicable).
(ag) Domicile Certificate (if applicable)-Resident Certificate is not ‘Domicile Certificate’. Candidates uploading ‘Resident Certificate’ in place of ‘Domicile Certificate’ will be ineligible. To be uploaded only by candidates availing height relaxation in accordance with Central Govt. regulations.
(ah) NCC‘A’/’B’/’C’ Certificate (if applicable).
Examination Fee. Candidates (except SC/ST candidates, who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty Only) through online mode by using net banking or by using Visa/Master/Maestro/RuPay/ Credit/Debit Card/UPI. Admit card will be issued for the examination only to those candidates who have successfully paid the examination fee and who are entitled for waiver of examination fee.
